Simply inform museum staff you are a MNPS family for free admission.

It’s time for a family field trip to the Parthenon! All MNPS families are invited to come see our newest exhibition of photography by artist London Amara:  

Ethos: The Alchemy of Spirit and Light, open through September 10, 2023

DURING STEAM NIGHT YOU CAN:

• Meet An Artist- Meet Josh from Von Reisch Photograhy! He is a photographer and will be sharing about his explorations with wet-plate collodion photography, just like the photographs on display.

• Join a 5 PM STEAM Night Centennial Park History Tour: 1897 Exposition to see picture the past in the park.

• Join a 6 PM STEAM Night Archaeology Tour with an archaeologist who has lived and worked in Greece.

• Explore Nashville history and American art exhibitions on Level 1:

  • Centennial Exposition Gallery

  • Cowan Gallery featuring American art

  • East Gallery special exhibit Ethos: The Alchemy of Spirit and Light.

• Explore Greek history and art exhibitions on Level 2:

  • Naos featuring the colossal statue of Athena

  • Treasury with Parthenon Marbles casts, Ionic columns, and pediment maquettes

• Learn from museum experts about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) connections at the Parthenon.

• Build an architectural masterpiece or solve a mythology map puzzle in the Treasury on Level 2.

• Take a break at the Research Station in the Treasury on Level 2.

• Find out what’s new in the Kidsville Activity Corner in the Gallery Lobby on Level 1.

• Enjoy Centennial Park and listen to a free Exterior Architecture Audio Tour in English, Spanish, or Arabic.
