Concession Clerk (CPC Grant Funded)
Front line – 19 hours
Hourly rate $20.00 This is a part time job with no benefits.
This position is subject to weekend and holiday work.
Weekend & evening schedule flexibility required.
The general purpose of this position is to assist Museum Store Manager in all manner of front line duties, including selling tickets and merchandise to visiting public, with a key responsibility to manage Centennial Park Conservancy (CPC) inventory in the store, including transporting merchandise from CPC office to Parthenon, and reporting CPC merchandise needs to CPC Events Manager. This position is subject to weekend and holiday work.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Keeping the Museum Store and stock room clean and orderly
Handling cash, check, and card transactions
Working with the public/greeting patrons visiting the museum
Managing CPC merchandise inventory—picks up merchandise, transports from CPC and brings to Parthenon
Communicates CPC merchandise needs and information across Parthenon and CPC
Preparing inventory reports
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma and two (2) years of clerical or retail experience.
Preferred Knowledge/Abilities/Licenses:
Experience in working with public
Experience handling large sums of money with accuracy
Ability to handle a multi-task environment
Basic computer skills, experience with a computerized point-of-sale/inventory system a plus

Office Support Representative
Front line – 19 hours.

The general purpose of this position is to assist the Museum Store Manager with clerical duties that support the museum’s mission of excellent customer service. This includes daily scheduling of full- and part-time frontline staff, purchasing office supplies, assisting with product development, being a liaison between curatorial/education staff on product development and specialty items, providing support to museum staff for special events, openings, and other programs, and assisting with all frontline activities, including working the Ticket Counter and Museum Store, inventory, and money handling.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in purchasing, maintaining relationships with vendors.
Handling cash, check and charge transactions.
Working collaboratively with leadership, staff, volunteers, and community members to ensure positive visitor experience.
Organizing and completing routine clerical activities, ticket counter reception duties, and coordination of retail operations.
Assisting Store Manager with product development, inventory, ordering, and receiving.
Answer telephone calls and assist walk-in customers in planning their visit.
Minimum Requirements:
Two (2) years of clerical or retail experience.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in working with public.
Experience handling large sums of money with accuracy.
Ability to handle a multi-task environment.
Interest in a museum environment.
Basic computer skills, experience with a computerized point-of-sale/inventory system, a plus.
