Host/Hostess
Front line – 19 hours.
Hourly rate $20.00 This is a part time job with no benefits.
This position is subject to weekend and holiday work.
Schedule flexibility required.
The general purpose of this position is to assist the front line in all manner of front line duties, including selling tickets and merchandise to visiting public, answering questions about the museum and its programs, keeping the storeroom neat and organized, maintaining up-to date count in back storage and assisting with inventory. This position is subject to weekend and holiday work.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Keeping the Museum Store and stock room. clean and orderly
Handling cash, check and charge transactions
Working with the public/greeting patrons visiting the museum.
Managing supplies and ordering when needed.
Assisting Store Manager with inventory ordering, and receiving.
Preparing inventory reports
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma and two (2) years of clerical or retail experience.
Preferred Knowledge/Abilities/Licenses:
Experience in working with public,
Experience handling large sums of money with accuracy
Ability to handle a multi-task environment.
Basic computer skills, experience with a computerized point-of-sale/inventory system, a plus.

Office Support Rep
Front line – 19 hours.

The general purpose of this position is to assist the Parthenon Front line manager staff with clerical duties that support the museum’s mission of excellent customer service. This includes scheduling full and part time front line staff for daily and special events, purchasing office supplies, assisting with product development, liaison between curatorial/education staff and front line manager on product development and specialty items, provide support to museum staff for special events, openings, and other programs, and assisting with all front line activities, including working the Admission desk and Museum Store, inventory, and money handling.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in purchasing, maintaining relationships with vendors
Handling cash, check and charge transactions
Work collaboratively with leadership, staff, volunteers, and community members to ensure positive visitor experience
Organize and complete routine clerical activities, front desk reception duties, and coordination of retail operations
Assisting Store Manager with product development, inventory ordering, and receiving.
Answer telephone calls and assist walk-in customers plan their visit.
Minimum Requirements:
Two (2) years of clerical or retail experience.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in working with public.
Experience handling large sums of money with accuracy.
Ability to handle a multi-task environment.
Interest in a museum environment.
Basic computer skills, experience with a computerized point-of-sale/inventory system, a plus.
