K-12 Field Trips & Adult Group Visits

As part of Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation, the Nashville Parthenon provides memorable learning experiences for local, regional, and national audiences. From field trips and group visits to virtual programs and classroom resources, K-12 education at the Parthenon provides an inclusive learning environment that aligns with Tennessee state education standards. The Parthenon is the ideal museum to learn about visual art, architecture, engineering, history, math, science, and technology.

Field Trips

The Nashville Parthenon mission is to share about the civilizations that built the Parthenon, both in Athens, Greece, and in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Bring your students on a field trip to the Nashville Parthenon to discover the past and learn together in fun, new ways. From art galleries to an exact replica of an ancient temple, we have a variety of student learning options and resources on topics to fit your curriculum. Give your class a field trip to remember!

All K-12 field trips must be guided by a Parthenon staff member or docent. 

Reserve a date and time for a guided tour at least 30 days before your planned visit with a school group. Schools interested in visiting March-May are encouraged to make reservations as early as possible, as the museum is often completely booked during this season. After you make a reservation, you will receive a Parthenon Tour Confirmation form via email. You must bring this form with you on the day of your tour.

Schools with larger groups must schedule multiple tours, either in one day or over multiple days.

Adult Group Visits

Bring your group to the Nashville Parthenon to discover four galleries of art and history, plus explore the interior recreation of an ancient temple. Your group will learn about the history of the Parthenon, browse a renowned collection of art, and enjoy the impressive architecture. The museum offers excellent photo opportunities and memorable experiences perfect for all ages. 

Adult groups may request a museum tour with a Parthenon staff member or docent.
