KIDSVILLE AT THE PARTHENON
Saturday Mornings at 10:30 AM: August 2, 9, 16 and 23
Join us for Kidsville at the Parthenon every Saturday morning in July. Families with children ages 12 and under can register in the lobby beginning at 10:30 AM, and children will immediately be able to participate in activity & craft stations located upstairs. Weekly storytelling or special guest programming will begin promptly at 11 AM in front of Athena. Kidsville attendees must register before 11:20 AM to receive free Parthenon admission. (Avoid the line: Please complete this registration form online in advance. Entry time for pre-registered attendees remains 10:30 - 11:20 AM.)

August 2, 2025: Come for an exploration of the book, Rabbit’s Snow Dance by James and Joseph Bruchac with Imagination Library, then make art inspired by the Native American fable of a summer snow.
August 9, 2025: Meet teaching artist, Sarah Manzo for a theatrical exploration of the cumulative and foolish tale of “I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly”, then make a story telling stick for your own foolish tale.
August 16, 2025: Join us for an exploration of the Greek myth of the birth of Athena and the foolish problem solving of Zeus, then make art inspired by the myth represented in the Parthenon statue.
August 23, 2025: Explore cumulative tales that tell of foolish choices to solve a problem as we read the book, Stuck by Oliver Jeffers, then make a craft inspired by the story and the art of the Parthenon.
Full Kidsville at the Parthenon Activity Schedule:
10:30 - 11:20 AM: Free entry to Parthenon for Kidsville
10:30 AM - Kidsville activity stations open for play.
11:00 AM - Storytime or special guest programming in front of the statue of Athena.
11:45 AM - Kidsville activity stations close.
What to Expect:
Activity Stations: Explore hands-on activities between 10:30 AM and 11:45 AM. Let your kids dive into fun and discovery at their own pace.
Storytime: Gather in front of the Athena statue at 11:00 AM for storytime and an arts and crafts activity inspired by the book. We usually wrap up by 11:30 AM.
Important Info for Parents:
Arrival Time: Come between 10:30 AM and 11:20 AM to receive free Parthenon admission for everyone attending Kidsville. The program begins promptly at 11:00 AM and lasts for approximately 30 minutes.
Shared Space: Kidsville at the Parthenon shares space with Parthenon guests.
Registration: Registration is required and may be done online in advance or at the Parthenon beginning at 10:30 AM. We highly recommend registering in advance to skip the line and make your entry smoother.
Check-In: Depending on the weather, check-in might be outside. Just follow the signs, and we'll be there to welcome you.
Parthenon Guest Policies:
Lockers (storage cubbies)
A limited number of lockers are available free of charge to store drinks or bottles, food. Ticket Counter staff can direct you to the location of the lockers. Please note the some lockers do not lock; visitors may use them as storage cubbies at their own risk. Quarters can be used to lock select lockers.
Backpacks, Large bags and Luggage
Backpacks, large bags, and luggage are not allowed inside the museum. There is no space to store these items— please plan to leave them at home.
Wheelchairs
The Nashville Parthenon provides a manually operated standard-size wheelchair as a courtesy to our visitors. It is available to borrow at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis. Staff at the Ticket Counter can direct you to the location of the wheelchair.
Strollers
Strollers are welcome inside the museum.
Bottle Feeding & Breastfeeding
Families are welcome to feed their baby at the Parthenon in designated spaces. Visitors are invited to ask staff at the Ticket Counter about the use of a private museum space for a feeding session.
